dirka Posted October 16, 2012 Report Share Posted October 16, 2012 Anyone [thought about/currently applying/did apply] to Md/PhD programs in the states? I am strongly considering doing this next year but if it's next to impossible to get some type of funding as a Canadian then maybe it's not worth all the applications/fees? I have a great GPA and MCAT score that I'm confident won't hold me back, and hopefully acceptable research experience (at least one pub by next year).... I'm currently in third year (studying in Canada) and will obviously apply to Canada as well next year but part of me wants to try my luck in working in an awesome lab somewhere in the states. Another part of me thinks my other ECs aren't nearly up to par for the top U.S. schools but whatever happens I'm confident I'll at least have some interviews in Canada.
