shady
After sending documents to Mac by snail mail, I got an e-mail from someone at the office (Sue) who confirmed receipt of my documents. It's not an automated message - it seemed personally written. I was thinking of replying with a thank you e-mail (like thank you for confirmation). But I figured they have ~200 students to go through, each with many documents. It would add to the mess if everyone were to thank her. What should I do? Did you send a thank you e-mail afterwards? Lactic Folly
Although not technically required, I've taken to "closing the loop" more and more - even though it seems to be a personalized message, I doubt the majority of people will write back. A short thank you will only take seconds to read/file away/delete and would likely brighten someone's day rather than be an imposition IMO.
