Guest AKangaroo
Hello, I need some help in choosing books in preparing for MCAT. I would like to hear from people's experience. I took courses in org. chemistry 1/2 course, general chemistry 1/2 course, calculus math 1 course no physics, no cell biology; what else...? I took gr 12 physics, but seems like I am missing a lot of stuff still. I went to chapters yesterday and saw MCAT 2006 Premier Program - Kaplan Kaplan Mcat Comprehensive Review With Cd-rom 2005-2006 - Kaplan A Princeton book and Gold Standard. I saw examkracker's online; havent seen inside. Also... Is Osmosis Audio useful? Which books would you recommend? Oh, I bought 101 verbal by examkracker already. do you recommend 1001 books also? Would any book contain all the information that I would need to know for MCAT? Please help me!
Guest Madz25
umm buy my book that im trying to sell!!!! LOL seriously though, i think you should try and get your hands on the prep course material. it's the most comprehensive review you'll find out there. im sure there are many people on this board that have taken kaplan/princeton review and want to sell their study packages. there's no calculus on the mcat so no need to worry about that. i used 101 VR passages and i really liked the book. hope this helps. madz
Guest ComplacentTragedy
Those big green Kap Test Prep booklets are, in my very scientific opinion: 'teh r0x0r' Most invaluable are old AAMC tests, available from their website, or your buddies. Then, get your hands on some prep course materials, to pick and choose the detail you do not know.
