docmm
Is the 3,000$ suggested budget for books and equipment accurate in terms of what students usually spend? Or does this take into consideration the fact most people buy a new laptop for med school?
benge88
Even with the purchase of a new laptop/ipad/whatever, I still find 3000 to be a gross overestimation of costs, however I really didn't buy any textbooks at all. (because you really don't have to!)
aryastark
Agreed. I ended up buying a few of the big textbooks, but still haven't ended up anywhere near $3000.
docmm
Can a few mac meds post how much they did end up spending (laptop/iPad not included but things like a recommended/required stethoscope included). Want to get a sense if it will be <1000, 1000-2000, or 2000>
