Guest antisera
Hi all, I'm new here - entering third year at UBC and writing the MCAT in August. I haven't buckled down as much as I should be since I work full time and I'm just using the Kaplan book....so apologies in advance if my question is basic! What would be considered a 'decent' Verbal Reasoning score? Like what would a 54/60 convert to in the scaled score? I want to know if I should put more effort into this section or focus on my weaker areas. Thanks! Sarah
Guest AC
I think a 54 is usually well above a 12 if I'm not mistaken. You do have to realize though that different raw scores will result in different VR scores with each test. Nevertheless, a 54 is definitely a good raw score. Guest arjuna83
I think anything above 48/60 is generally good, in that it translates to roughly 10 or above. It seems like the new magic verbal score is 10 or above. I'm trying to copy the scaled score ranges from the MCAT 3R to 8 but it doesn't allow me to post images. Here are the score ranges for Verbal for a score of 10: MCAT 3R: Verbal 44-47 (10) MCAT 4R: Verbal 48-51 (10) MCAT 5R: Verbal 44-48 (10) MCAT 6R: Verbal 44-47 (10) MCAT 7: Verbal 48-51 (10) MCAT 8: Verbal 47-49 (10)
