I'm not sure whether I have a shot (probably not ) but I decided to go for it. My wGPA is 3.82 & I'm out of province (1st year was awful). However, I think my ABS (32-33ish strong/diverse items) & research is quite good for 4th year undergrad. I'm doing an Honours BSc, not knowing that it was required for Ottawa's MD/PhD program . Volunteer Research 2 months after first year (got an abstract published in conference proceedings). 2 months clinical research in emerg. medicine in the States. Employment 2 months after second year. 4 months this summer (NSERC) (1-2 papers on the way). I'm also fortunate to have great references as well. But AFAIK, my GPA will be the end of me.
