Dan88
Hi there. I am planning to apply to both U.S and Canadian medical schools this cycle for the first time. My cGPA is 3.77. As for MCAT, I have written it twice, and the scores are 32(12,9,11), and 33 (12,9,12) respectively. I believe the score of 33, while not excellent, is solid for some of schools in U.S. However, the verbal score does not meet cut off for the most Canadians schools I would like to apply to, thus I have scheduled to write another MCAT in late July. Submitting MCAT score late August will not bode well for me for U.S med application, as I am aware early submission is imperative for admission in U.S. So I am in a bit of bind.. Has anyone had a similar experience as mine? Would there be a way to get around this? say submitting previous MCAT scores for application and not notifying AMCAS of the plan to write another one.. Or would that be considered cheating.. Any advice and pointers would be welcome. Thank you.
