medmanitoba
I'm in the process of writing my personal statement and i'm looking for advice on how much of the EC stuff (volunteering, research etc.) to include on the PS. I suspect it would not be good to say the same things twice in your PS as in EC? Much appreciated.
gobigorgohome
There aren't really rules about this stuff. Obviously don't copy the same stuff twice. You can certainly talk about ECs in your personal statement
ctemplet
I'm a little curious about this as well, particularly for the 3 EC's which you mark as "most important". I had planned on focusing on 3-4 EC's in my personal statement with specific examples on how each had shaped my desire to go into medicine, but when you select your top 3 ECs in the "work activity" it gives you an extra 1325 characters to discuss it. Is it better to choose my top 3 EC's as different ones than the ones I plan to talk about in the personal statement in order to reduce the overlap? Or should I select the same ones that are discussed in the personal statement, but try to stress different aspects of them?
