kleck096 Posted June 30, 2014 Report Share Posted June 30, 2014 Hi guys, I noticed when reading the prereqs for American medical schools that they often require 1 full year (8 credit hours) of science courses. I'm a graduate from Biomed at uOttawa and our transcripts list all single-semester courses (unless otherwise specified) as 3 credits. I'm wondering if the American system is different - ie if a course contains a lab component, it counts as 4 credits for them, though my transcript says 3. Can anyone confirm this? Thanks!
