What Does This Mean?

Recommended Posts

"In order for the GPA to be evaluated, independent grades from a minimum of 5 half-year or 5 full-year courses in total, are required, without which the application will not be considered."

This I copied straight from:

I have no idea what it means, and I scored a 13 in verbal. :P

I think what they were trying to say is that you need to not only have the minimum of 30 half (or 15 full) credits, but that 10 half (or 5 full) credits must also have grades attached to them in order for them to calculate a GPA to be used in the admissions process. This probably wouldn't be a problem for most applicants unless you are in a co-op/pass/fail/professional program that does not provide grades for all courses. If you have concerns regarding whether or not you have enough graded credits to be used, contact the school directly for clarification with your circumstances.
