  1. I actually really enjoyed Phys 2 and nutrition, thought they were interesting and helpful! A+'s are doable in both (well, I had Roger Kelton and Adegoke for nutrition and Tara Haas and Michael Connor for phys 2 for what its worth) Anatomy courses with Nikki Richardson is also good, she explains things really well
  2. Yeah, abnormal is an option (& interesting!), so is cognition. Take abnormal with Joel Goldberg. Health psych I think you can also take without any other prereqs. Neural basis of behaviour is interesting, but more work, and if you're in bio you can probably get permission to take it without the 2nd year prereq (I did it without the prereq and it was totally fine).
  3. Agreed with doctorfresh on this one - most 88s don't get bumped up. I've had a couple 79s/89s bumped up by the prof (not just to me, to everyone in the class) but these were, in my experience, only in upper year courses. If you land on a 0.5, most profs will for sure bump you up.
  4. Yeah he's pretty funny and laidback as a person. As an instructor, he's pretty clear. His tests though are very, very specific. If you don't say something the way he wants you to say it, he'll take marks off. The questions themselves are fair, but be very detailed and specific in your answer. He'll mention this to you guys I'm sure.
  5. is that with Gadsden?? I took the regular microbio course with him, wasn't really a huge fan.
  6. Thanks for the heads up. I wouldn't take it, but its a prereq for the Optom program.
  7. Did anyone here take intro to ethics with Susan Dimock?? (PHIL 2070). how do essays in philosophy work in general?
  8. the Material itself isn't super difficult, but it requires a big time committment (at least it did for me for BIOL 3120).
  9. thanks for the link. Also, I was wondering if anyone here took KINE 2031 (Anatomy) this past semester??
  10. Oh no that's not good to hear...guess I'll see on the first class what the syllabus is like. I wonder if his 2nd year Applied Ethics class is any easier? (anyone take that?) Yeah immuno is one of the harder bio courses I think. I took that two years ago and it definitely hurt my GPA Interesting class though, and Tanya's a really nice person.
  11. really, that sounds great. Man I'm trying to get into that course but its still full (wonder how big that class is) EDIT: never mind, i just checked right now and I was able to add it. I'm glad I found someone in that course, we can share notes
  12. This is being taught by Duff Waring right? I'm looking for feedback on him too!
  13. you should still switch while you can I took Micro but it was with Gadsden and it was TONS of work. I looked at Nicole's ratemyprof ratings and she has rave reviews (never had her as a prof myself though).
  14. I was wondering if anyone here happened to take FR 1020?? (Intro French)
