I was wondering for those of you who have been accepted into the usask medical school or might have a good idea about this based on what you’ve heard, have you been accepted or know of anyone being accepted into medical school with an inconsistent academic record? Although my UAA is above 80%, my average severely dropped in the second semester of my third year due to external reasons. That brought my entire 3rd year average down, about 9% lower than my 1 & 2 years. I am a little worried about this being considered inconsistent and that it would remove my application from consideration this cycle. This is what it states on the website: “INCONSISTENT ACADEMIC RECORD: In all cases, the Admissions Committee has the right to remove the application from consideration based on a highly inconsistent academic record (e.g., grades declining over time or grades fluctuating over a wide range) and failure to progress through the degree in a timely fashion.” I’d appreciate any input!

I hope everyone is holding up! Congratulations for making it this far in the Usask process. Yesterday, April 22, they had the site selection information session. They stated that invitation/rejections will be sent out May 14. They also reported that next week, they are finishing up with contacting references. Good luck!!!

Hello! Congratulations to everyone who was accepted! I hope that you have a great first year. The waitlist is a great achievement and so is getting an interview. This year has been pretty crazy and with no interviews And has been very stressful. I thought I’d start this forum to see how everyone is doing and if there is movement on the waitlist. I am OOP waitlisted in the bottom third!

Hey everyone here is a thread for this year's Pharmacy applicants at the UofS (a tad late, but I had some questions). Just wondering if because of the additional year of pre reqs added on starting this year for the PharmD, if we think our individual chances of getting in will be better? I'm not sure how many first years applied in previous years, but would the lack of first years applying this year mean there is less competition? I am OOP and just wondering what your thoughts were on this. Thanks and goodluck!
