Alberta residents income tax

Hey all! Future Uof C resident here. 

I was wondering if any current residents in Alberta can speak to the net income we get after taxes and how the call stipends work in terms of payment. 

I don't mean how much we get back in tax credits and all of that, I mean more on a month-month basis

Call stipends get paid out approximately a month after you’ve completed the block they were in.

Im a bit far out to comment on take home pay every two weeks in pgy1, but I think you’d be safe to budget around 1700$ after deductions and before call stipends. The PARA contract renegotiation was finally completed last year so we got a salary bump plus retroactive pay. (FYI it’s time to negotiate again....don’t be surprised to hear about it at Orientation).
