Applying while doing masters?

Does anyone know anything about admissions to the MDCM program for applicants pursuing a masters degree? Do I need to complete the masters degree PRIOR to entering the MDCM program if admitted? Are graduate courses grades taken into account in the GPA calculation? Can't seem to find any info on graduate applicants.

Thanks!

Do I need to complete the masters degree PRIOR to entering the MDCM program if admitted? See https://www.mcgill.ca/medadmissions/applying/after-youve-applied/deferred-admission: "NB: Students currently enrolled in graduate programs are normally expected to apply only when they are in the final year of that program." Having said that, I know many people who were in the middle of their pursuit of a masters when they were admitted.

Are graduate courses grades taken into account in the GPA calculation? No, see https://www.mcgill.ca/medadmissions/applying/help: "Do I need to enter graduate marks in the workbook? Section 3 of the Workbook should only include a record of your undergraduate degree marks."

Can't seem to find any info on graduate applicants.

Thanks!

Just noticed this now, why does McGill award MDCM as opposed to just an MD?

Historical reasons alone. Lots of people write "Name, MD, CM, MPH" etc... to help remind others that the MDCM =MD. But you don't have to, it's equivalent.
