  1. I know people throw around "insurance" and "pharma" but if you want to get one of these non-clinical jobs and essentially leverage your M.D. how do you go about it? What options are currently out there?
  2. Since the college stopped doing the change of scope to pain medicine, is there still a way to do it? Many of the GPs i know doing it still say "Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine" on CPSO
  3. This may sound obnoxious but as a resident (PGY1) with a ton of debt and increasing personal responsibilities, i want to know out of curiosity what is the most lucrative way (whether you enjoy it or not) to work as someone with fam med training (no plus one) ie locums, insurance, admin etc. Please share
  4. I know it seems very "gunnerish" to post this so soon after match day, however the rather quick turnaround for Enhanced Skills Match and the competitiveness of the program makes it seem reasonable. My fam program appears to have 2 blocks (8weeks) of elective time in year one and plenty in year 2. So it seems that for the purposes of the +1 match, these first year ones would be relevant for reference letters and such. Other than obviously using those 2 electives for emergency medicine, what should you being doing on the side in order to be the most competitive applicant you can be? Cheers
