<pagetext>Has anyone looked at the profiles at mdapplicants.com? DID THEY FREAK YOU OUT?

There are a lot of people with insanely high GPAs (ranging from 3.95 to 4.0) and MCAT scores and great ECs that couldn't even get interviews!! What the hell? I don't see how that can happen, unless they wrote "Sometimes I want to take ppl apart and watch things move around" in their personal sketch

After two years of undergrad, my OMSAS GPA is around 3.90, haven't written MCATS yet, fairly weak ECs compared to the rest of you (summer research, some hospital volunteer work and fencing club... no leadership positions) but up until a week ago, I was feeling okay, and now I feel like I'm not fit to be in the same room as some of those amazing ppl that were rejected!!

Please tell me there are other ppl out there banging their head against the wall. Any chance the ppl who fill out profiles on that site are anomalies? Maybe a skewed representation? :\
