undergrad grades and grad school

Hi there,

I did my undergrad at U of T and finished my BSc (i.e 4 years), but I am doing an extra year to bring up my marks. I am planning to do graduate school and then apply to med school. My problem is that my undergraduate marks are not so good and U of T I think drops your lowest mark each year providing you have a full course load. I have a full course load every year (including my 5th) except for one year in which I have 4.

My first question is, how is my undergraduate GPA calculated if I have more than 4 years with one of my years having 4 courses?

Secondly, providing graduate school goes well, how will my undergrad marks be evaluated? (cut off for grad students is 3.0..do people actually get in with a 3.0 after grad???)

Lastly, if I have published work in my undergraduate years, how beneficial is that?

Thanks so much for your help guys!! :)
