MADnerd Posted August 1, 2019 Report Share Posted August 1, 2019 Hi everyone, Im starting my fourth year of undergrad at UWO and Im going to apply to UBC/UofT/McGill/UWO dental schools by November. What are my chances of getting in w these stats/ECS? My strongest point is definitely my GPA but I’m not sure how much of an importance it got for offers of admission. GPA: 1st year 4.00 2nd and third year 3.96 best 2 years around 93% ECs: 3 years of research experience in 2 different labs (no publications) NSERC USRA award (Research) 100 hours of shadowing (general dentist/oral surgeon) Soccer intramurals (champs in third year) volunteering at hospitals in high school DAT: writing it in Nov Probs gonna get 23 ish in AA, 21 RC, 21 PAT (took it once last year w 0 studying got 20/21/16 AA/RC/PAT) Also, any advice on doing well on Casper/MMI ? Starburst Posted August 1, 2019 Report Share Posted August 1, 2019 You got a solid chance everywhere as long as you keep up your GPA. You're also going to have to take the soap carving section if you want to apply to McGill. Make sure you practice since a bunch of people scored below the minimum 5 last year and were complaining.
