First year courses taken upper years

I was just wondering if anyone had any experience with UofC and their policies regarding a first year course taken in an upper year (3rd or 4th)? I know some schools see this as a detriment, however I was unable to find anything on the website. (and to avoid cross-posting, does anyone know of a similar policy at Uof A?)
