Guest ami
I had 3.8 GPA in my first year but my marks in subsequent years are below the cutoff. Now I am in a Master's program and my average is A. So will Western look at my first year of undergrad and my last year of the Master's program? Or will they look at my last year of undergrad (only 3.4)? Thank you very much for your help!
Guest UWOMED2005
I'm fairly certain that the last year for the cutoff has to be in UNDERGRAD. I could very well be wrong - if you want a second opinion (everyone's entitled to a second opinion), try asking my classmates on our Western specific discussion forum at http://www.mni.uwo.ca/discus (select MEDS2006ADMISSIONS.) I talked to one physician who was in a very similar circumstance. . . she mentioned to me that when she did med school, Calgary, McMaster and U of T all looked very favourably on grad degrees.
