Guest Kirsteen
Hi there, Last night, I attended the UofT Human Biology Students Union (HBSU) Medical School Symposium, and jotted any bits of information that sounded new, from all of the presentations made by each school and test preparation company. The UWO representative was a first year medical student and following are some of the details she shared: 1) For the class of 2007 (last year's class), 375 interviews were conducted and ultimately, 239 offers of acceptance were made to fill the class. There are 133 students in the class and of them, 7 have a M.Sc. and 1 has a PhD. (She did not have any statistics concerning the proportion of successful applicants with three versus four years of undergraduate education.) 2) This year, ~1700 people have applied to UWO's medical program, which is up from last year's 1576. Cheers, Kirsteen
