tiny_traveller
Hi all, I am interviewing at U of A, which has a mix of MMI stations and a panel interview. I haven't heard of the panel interview before, and I was wondering if there was any advice on what it is like. Is it that there are just more people present? How is it different than the MMI stations? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks! tiny_traveller
MDInterviewPrep
Panel is very different than MMI. It is often 2-4 people in a room evaluating you all at once. It is more of a conversation vibe with back and forth, and often more fast fired questions about yourself. They tend to be more personal questions and "what would you do?". Also, "what do you think of this ____". Not really a place for role playing as much. MMI can be much more broad - describe this picture, talk to this angry patient, personal questions, ethical scenarios, etc. MMI will always be one evaluator in each room. Every room is a fresh start.
