I applied as a regular. Stats I know of from last years entering class...

265 applicants...including 67 from Manitoba

76 Interviews

29 accepted...including 25 Manitobans

Lowest AGPA accepted...3.17

Average DAT score for accepted applicants...20.73

Lowest Carving score for accepted applicants...14

Interviews are in late April...acceptance in late June

Last year Manitobans needed a minimum DAT average of 17 and a minimum AGPA of 2.75 to be eligible for an interview. The DAT minimum can apparently change from year to year.

The AGPA is explained on page 4 of the dentistry application document found here...

I applied as a regular applicant. In province.

I'm not sure of the numbers for those admitted, but to get an interview as OOP you'll need at least 3.75 on your prereqs and 20 DAT avg. Special applicants seem to have an easier time getting an interview, though very few actually get accepted. I think only 2 were accepted last year out of 12 that were interviewed.

The lowest AGPA thing is a bit deceptive, 3.17 may have been the lowest but keep in mind that would have been a special applicant. Regular applicants would need much higher than that.

How are all of your stats?

im applying as an OOP with a masters, so the chances of me getting accepted are pretty slim.

a master's does not do very much, but since i have one, why not use it.

:D

thanks for the stats.
