Guest spartacus1212
Are people using their pencils to sketch out lines on soap, or what other techniques are people using? Has anyone tried a fine-tip permanent marker?
Guest johnwoo19
I use a pencil. The marker they give you has too blunt of an end in my opinion.
Guest slysniper
Dont use mechanical pencils, cuz you are not allowed on the real DAT.
Guest Dent08
I wrote the DAT at U of C a few years ago and we were allowed to use our own mechanical pencils. Probably a good idea to practice with a normal pencil just in case.
Guest babytooth
When I wrote the DAT at the U of C, they wouldn't let us use mechanical pencils... so yeah, I'd definately practice both ways. Have you tried your black marker?
Guest spartacus1212
hmm, interesting. Does anyone know for sure whether we can use our own pencils/markers? I've tried the black fine point permanent marker ("sharpie") and it works like a charm - it doesn't rub off and I find it a little easier then the pencil...but I suppose meaningless if we can't use it... Guest Dent08
You can either use a sharpie or a regular pencil. They will provide both. You can choose which one you prefer.
