Guest OhB1
Silly question Im sure.. Planning to apply to some US schools. When they list there academic requirements, some list inorganic chem, while some list general chem. Im assuming inorganic and general are the same? Is this just to differentiate from orgo, or are there 3 seperate courses (general, inorganic, organic) thanks in advance.
Guest Saberial
I'm fairly certain they mean the same thing but you could always check with the school.
Guest belledentiste
DO NOT ASSUME the inorganic and general chem are the same. I applied to some schools in the US that consider them to be the same, but some schools consider the two to be different. You must check with each school. Also, make sure that the chem courses have a lab component b/c some schools require lab in all the prereq. science courses. My friend had to retake inorganic chem. at U of T b/c the course that he took at another university did not contain a lab component. Good luck!
