Guest smooth operater
Hey guys. Should I be worried that no period table and constant will be given? When you wrote the real DAT, did you have to memorize some chemical constant and weights or positions of the elements on the table? As for calculation. Did you guys have to memorize some special equations that help you solve log calculation quickly since calculator is not given? Hope someone can help out on this subject. thanks! Guest Dent08
There is no periodic table given, because you won't need one. You don't need to do any calculations at all. They ask you which is the correct equation, not what the answer is. Just be able to recognize where constants fit into certain equations. Check out the CDA prep booklet for examples of how they'll ask these type of questions.
Guest omizu
Actually, I believe there was a periodic table provided on the DAT (someone who has written recently correct me if i've remembered incorrectly). You will need to know/recognize some constants and be able to recall and manipulate various formulae from general inorganic chem. Nothing other than simple calculations though, if any at all.
