pumpkin1234 Posted March 5, 2023 Report Share Posted March 5, 2023 Hey, I can't speak to maternity leave at that site in particular but lots of UofT FM residents are able to take maternity leave but cannot speak to that aspect specifically. I am not a resident currently but I did my med school at UofT at their Mississauga campus and I really enjoyed the environment. They have minimal residents in the Sauga site so FM residents tend to get a ton of experience compared to for ex. the downtown sites and they definitely are relegated less scut work. That being said THP is an extremely busy hospital with crazy volumes so the calls you have definitely won't be easy but you can learn a ton from seeing all different presentations and working with the diverse population in the area. Also a plus is the EMR system they use is EPIC which in my opinion is the best one out there. Let me know if you have any other questions.
