Do U of T meds students get thanksgiving weekend completely off?

Hi guys,

 

To any UofT students out there, is it reasonable to book a trip home (to halifax) the thanksgiving weekend? We have an exam that fri so I was planning on leaving fri night and returning mon night. I am asuuming we won't have a ton of work to do after an exam but let me know if I am wrong here!

Looking at last year's S&F schedule (password protected), I think that it is reasonable to go home for the weekend.

 

The anatomy covered after Thanksgiving is new material, as you just would have had your first anatomy exam. There's an embryology exam, covering material from the start of the year, in two weeks time, but you should have sufficient time to study for that when you come back.

Hey Guys,

I'm in 0T9 and I can tell you from personal experience that it is possible. I flew back to Vancouver last Thanksgiving. I took two red-eye flights! Damn - that was tough! But it is possible and very worthwhile if you are concerned about being homesick. It totally broke up the term for me!

Looking forward to meeting you guys when I get back to Toronto....I think I should arrive in time for the casino night on Saturday!
