Do you need a credit card to apply online to med school?

Hey guys, i'm several years away from applying to med school, but i'm wondering if you need a credit card when applying online. Or do schools take cheques? Thanks. I know OMSAS takes money order or cheque, but do you need a credit card for anything else? thanks.

I don't think that you need a credit card... although it might make things easier (ie don't have to go get a money order). Not having a credit card would not prevent you from applying.

Get a credit card regardless of whether or not you need one, as long as you can use it responsibly. There are many no-fee credit cards, that are absolutely free as long as you pay your bills on time, in full. It's a good idea to start building a good credit history as early as possible.

thanks guys. I already have one that my parents pay (that i use in emergencies and stuff). I think i'll probably get one within the next year or so. Thanks again.
