Guest sab10
Kudos to everyone at U of S for a great interview weekend! Personally, I found everything to be very well organized and well run! Huge thanks to the MedOne crew for the reception- I had a great time and it was nice to meet other interviewees as well as current students:) What did everyone else think? Guest Kenola
Thought it went great. I didn't go to the reception, but the medstudent liasons at the interview were very friendly and helpful. Actually, the interviewers were also very friendly and cheerful. It wasn't quite what I expected! :-) Now the waiting begins!
Guest ComplacentTragedy
Again this happens to me, just like in UofA: "So, we're trying to make this as comfortable for you as possible..." (Sweet, I'm ready to tell them about myself...) "... because of that, we'll start with some simple questions..." (... got all thirty-four points about myself memorized...) "I'm sure you can guess..." (Talk about your academics, volunteer work, extra curriculars, travel, work experience...) "So tell us about your hobbies." "Uh... I uh... do... academics, volunteer work, extra..." You got me this time - again, first question.
Guest sab10
Haha, that's hilarious... I'm in the same boat... Waiting for them to begin with "So, tell us about yourself..." ... "So, tell us why you're here today." "Well, my name is... WHAT?!?!" Ahhhh well, it's over and done with:)
Guest frenchfrog
So, tell us why you're here today Ooh, I like that question. It's basically asking "why do you want to be a physician", but in an interesting way, that would've probably stopped me in my tracks for a moment. Anyway, I wasn't asked "Tell me about your yourself." right at first either. Though, some form of it did come up 5 or 10 minutes into the interview. Either way, I was happy with the way the interview went. . .in the sense that the panel was very friendly. I didn't feel like they were trying to trip me up or grill me. It was a pleasant enough conversation . . .though one interviewer came in late, so that was a bit odd. . . .sigh. Now, we just have to wait. |I
