Guest jennymed
Hey all I have a few questions What banks/ATM machines are in the UBC area? Did any of you buy the life insurance that the banks offered with LOC? Is this necessary to buy? Thanks Jen
Guest tigerlily
I'm not sure what's around UBC. I didn't buy the life insurance from RBC because I know we have reps coming to talk to us about disability insurance etc. in September, and you can always add in the life insurance later. But I'm no expert on this stuff, so if anyone actually *knows* what's a good idea, please post!
Guest leviathan
I'm pretty sure there is a Bank of Montreal ATM in the Student Union Building (basement floor by the arcades). There is also a Royal Bank (i think) in the pharmacy that is in the village. Not the new Shoppers Drugmart, but the independently owned store further east. There are lots of private ATMs that will charge you an arm and a leg around campus as well, including in The Pit, one in the SUB, one in The Gallery, Koerner's, one outside 99 Chairs, etc. That's about all I can remember right now, hope that helps!
