Are they closed, open or no file interviews?

Given that the interviews are completely standardized at UBC what, if anything, do your interviewers know about about you before the event? Since there is no time to talk about your file I would assume and hope that your interviewers haven't seen it. Is this true?

The interviewers look at your essay and your extracurricular activities, but don't have access to any of your academic information (transcripts, MCAT score, etc.).
