anyone took biol 334 at UBC last year?

I did not do too well on the first midterm. So I am a bit concerned. If you took this course last term, did the instructor omit the midterm marks if you get higher maker on the final? Thanks!

I'm not in med, but I have taken this course and have done horribly on it. If nothing has changed, he will later state that if you did bad on the final, but achieved 80% or above, you will get 80% as a final grade. I also recall he once stated that if you get a certain grade that is very high, he will give you something slightly lower (- 2 to - 4 %) even if you failed the midterm. I know this is true because my mark was derived this way (there was no way I could have gotten this mark with the low score I received on my midterm).

 

However, do realized it's a tough final exam and people actually fail it.
