Guest uwkin
hi there, I was under the impression that things like labs (which here at waterloo are usually worth 0.25 credits as opposed to .50 like other courses) count towards my course load. For example, 4 courses and 3 labs = 0.50x4 + 0.25x3 = 2.75 credits in 1 term. Thats over 2.5, which would be a full course load. Someone mentioned something about western not considering those .25 credit courses towards the course load, so the semester I described above would actually not be included in the GPA calculation. Can anyone verify this?
Guest aneliz
Western does count everything you take towards your courseload... the only thing is if the lab is marked as P/F rather than given a grade, then it can't be included in the GPA calculation. However, it still counts towards having a full course load. And, if it is graded like any other course, then it will count for your GPA too.
