Guest CVS2B
To all UBCers and Fellow ezboarders, Thank heavens for this board. question: Is there anyone on this board that has survived taking their General Chemistry or Organic Chem through the BCOU (TRU) or Athabascau? Is this achievable.. in a distance learning format or is it one massive risky undertaking? I realize that on the UBC premed requisites listing on their website there are a few equivalents listed under the BC open university .. ? Is there something I should be aware or cautious of.. besides the fact that distance learning requires heaps of motivation and discipline? Thanks very much in advance for all of your responses. Cheers, cvs2b.

Guest docbil
It does require a heap of motivation. I took english, ecology and genetics through BCOU. I thought they where good courses, but like others said. YOU HAVE TO WAKE UP IN THE MORNING, PLANING TO DO THESE COURSES. Unfortunately no teacher will tell you. Do this Now... and Midterm and assigment now... etc... If you don't mind working on your own... and reading text. I would do distant. Org and Inorg chemistry may require you to attend one week in interior BC doing lab. Double check the site. docbil
