I'm accepting, provided that UBC still wants to accept me! I won't believe it until I get my registration package in July and am fully registered for my courses.

 

God forbid receiving an email like this "We are sorry to inform you that your offer of admission has been rescinded due to ___________________"

That's right. For the last year I've been busy sequencing O. Novo-ulmi's genome (creating an EST database) and generating knock-out mutants of the pathogen. I'm working in Dr. Hintz's lab at UVic, who is affiliated with the Biocontrol network across Canada.

 

By any chance, did you work for Colette Breuil at UBC?

What did your Ophiostoma work encompass?
