Guest smooth operater
Hello guys! From your past expereince, how many credits do you think science students should take in 2nd yr? is 33 credit a good number? any advices? thank you!
Guest Ollie
I always took 30, but I know they've added 1 credit labs onto courses that makes them 4 credits total (when I took them they were only 3). So 33 is good.
Guest mitchie41
I don't think it really matters how many credits you have as long as you have 5 courses per semester. That way, you're considered to be taking a "full course load".
Guest not rex morgan
That's right. Many schools, not just UBC require that you take a "full course load." I ended up dropping an English class in my fourth year b/c the instructor hated me, and left me with a less than full load. This didn't effect my graduation b/c I'd taken a practical archeology course in England in the summer, but it did effect my application to some schools. UBC wasn't too concerned about the one semester shy of a full load, but it did take me a couple of years to get in. Too many variables to say how that effected it.
