Guest gk
How does the MCAT scoring system work?? I've seen a whole bunch of 'Q's and 'P's and all these number scores that everyone's talking about. Can someone explain how it works or post a link where i can read up about it?? thanks! -george-

Guest Chris
Try http://www.aamc.org The official site should have everything, but in brief, Verbal Reasoning, Physical Sciences and Biological Sciences are scored out of 15 (well, Verbal only goes up to 13-15, but you get the idea) and the writing sample is scored on a letter basis, the highest being T. These scores are found from converting the raw score to a scaled score based on percentiles and the performance of all the others that wrote the same version of the test as you.
