Is missing ONE varsity practise ok?

I am really interested in joining the soccer varsity team but have a problem in mind.

I have one on one of the practise times a class...

So, is it ok if I miss out on that one practise per week?

Has anyone ever been in a similar situation in ANY varsity sport?

(That's of course if I make good of the try out :P )

Thanks

I got the answer to this one now.

It seems you can miss out on one practise a week...the coaches are a little flexible. Woohoo!

I only asked when the try out is and how many people usually go for it per year.

He said about 10-13 people attend the try out and he picks 2-3 only. This year's it's on August 15.

I got the impression of flexibility from asking some people in this board who have a brother or friend that attends varsity soccer in UVIC but they said it's just as flexible in any university.
