Guest dentisthopeful
I'm selecting 1st year courses and I noticed some class sizes are larger than others, for example, in chem 123(lab portion), some sessions are almost twice as large as others. Does class size matter a lot in terms of quality of education and getting to know instructors? Also, for the first year courses that science students generally take, are some instructors more difficult than others?
Guest physiology
There is a maximum number of students that they fit into the lab. The fact that your section has a larger class size just indicates that more of the lab is being used in your section. I think each TA has approximately 15-20 students each. For safety reasons and space concerns, it can't go over that. I presume that the larger lab sections are Tues/Thurs? Those are the most popular because classes typically run on MWF.
