MD Info night: How to get into Med School, basically...

Alright ppl listen up...here is a once in a lifetime opportunity:

 

A committee of med students (yr 1-4) here at U of A known as MD Ambassadors have gotten together and are organizing an interactive information session about U of A's MD program. What does that mean? Basically CURRENT med students are going to explain to you everything you want to know about med school (how the application process works, stats of accepted/rejected students, what we look for in the interview, tips on how to best portray yourself in your application/interview and also what it is like to be a med student (schedule/studying/partying...) and how U of A differs from other Canadian med schools.

 

The program will consist of a powerpoint presentation outlining the basic details above afterwhich we will split everyone into small groups. Each group will be given 2 med students and you can ask them ANYTHING you want...this would be the optimal time to put forward those burning questions you have about your personal application etc.

 

Sounds to good to be true? It almost is! On top of it, it's FREE and we serve refreshments....

So - with the first week of interviews almost all wrapped up, how do you think it went??

 

Personally, I have a hard time telling how my interview went. My interviewers seemed polite, but relatively disinterested, and the scope of my questions wasn't nearly as varied as I expected.
