While it is certainly more efficient to have an extension number when placing a call, they can be obtained from most switchboards. Therefore, in the case of my references, they were not essential. Guest uftstudent Posted September 11, 2005 Report Share Posted September 11, 2005 I really wanted to put in an extension..and even considered writing one onto the Confidential assessment form! But of course that would look very unprofessional so i just didn't include one...if they really want to they can reach the referee from the main phone number.
