Guest toothy1985
hi, i was wondering if med schools actually call the ppl who write ur LOR? I mean I have a reference letter froma high school teacher, she moved somewhere, so what should I do? I have like hardly any prof's LORs.
Guest uftstudent
And about contacting...do u usually use the professional address...like it would make sense to use the hospital address where u volunteered, and not the home address of a referee? That's what i've done so far. Any suggestions? thanks
Guest aneliz
Using the referee's professional address is quite fine. The med schools rarely contact referees from what I have heard, however, if you have a particularly 'good' or 'bad' reference or one that seems unbelievable (ie from George W Bush), they may attempt to contact the person to clarify any questions they have. Guest Talon01
In the odd chance they 'might' contact your reference you need to think about whether it's worth the risk. As well, the adress you use doesn't matter, you should consider what's more convienent for your reference.
