Hello friends,

Do you know anyone who can take time off mid-January to early March, 2006? And is between 18-30 years old? Who is interested in a free 7 week+ cruise to Asia, the Indian subcontinent and Africa?

 

Please spread the word on this fantastic opportunity to travel to Japan, Singapore, Chennai (India), Mombassa (Kenya) and Port Louis (Mauritius), free of cost. All costs of travel, food, return airfare to point of departure are generously covered by the Government of Japan.

 

WHAT: 18th Ship for World Youth

WHY:

Began after WWII as a gesture of goodwill from Japan towards international understanding and friendship.

Official courtesy calls, homestays, seminars, visits, cultural exchange.

WHO: 12 Canadians, 18-30yrs old as of Apr 01, 2005

(120 Japanese & 144 youth from a dozen nations)

WHEN: Tentatively Jan 10-Mar 02, 2006

WHERE: Japan, Singapore, India, Kenya, Mauritius

COST: Covered by Government of Japan

DEADLINE: Applications must be received by Sep 02, 2005, 5pm local.

The unofficial list of SWY18 participants include Japan, Australia, Bahrain, Brazil, Canada, Greece, India, Kenya, Mauritius, Morocco, Sweden, Tonga, UAE. For South East Asians, there is a separate program called Ship for South East Asian Youth (SSEAYP). Please websearch accordingly for more info.
