Just got my acceptance in the mail yesterday *yeah!* so i'll be starting MedI come September - can't wait.

I was wondering if some of the med students could comment on the feasibility of juggling a part-time job while in med school?

....and perhaps general pointers/advice on how to fund one's medical education???

thanks!

Hey

A few of my classmates worked part time while in med I and II, but they only worked on friday nights or something. I would ask you the following question, WHY are you working?

I told myself that I would rather be in debt that sacrifice my training because Im working to make $100/week. It wasnt worth it for me.

If its a job you like, then sure keep doing it. But there are a million things going on in med school and you don't want to miss out.

Cheers

Thanks for the reply.

Personally I hadn't really planned on working while studying (I've come to terms with having an insanely large debt after I'm done). I was mostly curious as to how common this is amongst med students.
