Guest overjoyed
Just got my acceptance in the mail yesterday *yeah!* so i'll be starting MedI come September - can't wait. I was wondering if some of the med students could comment on the feasibility of juggling a part-time job while in med school? ....and perhaps general pointers/advice on how to fund one's medical education??? thanks! Guest CaesarCornelius
Hey A few of my classmates worked part time while in med I and II, but they only worked on friday nights or something. I would ask you the following question, WHY are you working? I told myself that I would rather be in debt that sacrifice my training because Im working to make $100/week. It wasnt worth it for me. If its a job you like, then sure keep doing it. But there are a million things going on in med school and you don't want to miss out. Guest darrenhfx
First off congrats. I was interviewed that day too so I hope to share your vibe If you scroll further down the forums you'll find the thread from last year's crop with some discussion on financing school etc. Or try this link: p090.ezboard.com/fpremed1...=1&stop=
Guest overjoyed
Thanks for the reply. Personally I hadn't really planned on working while studying (I've come to terms with having an insanely large debt after I'm done). I was mostly curious as to how common this is amongst med students.
