Guest MicroMaster
The optional Dalhousie essay asks you to write why you might have had a revitilization in studying medicine after trying another career. Presumably, this essay is for those who were in the workfield and have now decided to come back to school. I am wondering if should write it or not, as I am doing a Masters now. I wanted to make it clear that I really wanted to do research and made a mature concious decision to pursue medicine instead, after trying basic science. I don't want it to be assumed that I did a Masters just in the mean time between undergrad and medicine. So, should I write or not? Thanks. Guest Doc2B
I contacted the school regarding this essay option. I am still in school, completing a degree in a health profession. The Admissions Folks told me that I should complete the essay, even though I have yet to practice in this area. I guess it doesn't matter if the area that you have been pursuing is employment or educational. Good luck with your application!
