Guest HenryTheBig
Hey guys, I'm going into my 3rd year of Honours Biochem at the UofO. I haven't wrote the MCAT so I plan to only apply to Ottawa this year. However, I'm not sure if I've taken the necessary full course load for U of O. My first year had 32 credits. My second year had 28 credits (14 per semester). From what I know, Ottawa requires 30 each year. Does anyone know if they're lenient or strict? Will my second year have enought credits? Guest Kirsteen
Hi there, In your credit system, do 6.0 credits equate to one full-year course, i.e., 1.0 full credit in the 5.0-credit, full-year system? If so, then you probably do have an adequate number of credits in your first two years as long as Ottawa's definition of "full year" has not changed. That is, in the past, Ottawa permitted a minimum of 4.0 or 4.5 credits per year for WGPA calculation purposes. Cheers, Kirsteen
Guest mistah anderson
Hi HenryTheBig, You should be fine. Ottawa U. allows a minimum of 24 credits per year (that is four half-courses per semsestre). Summer courses aren't counted in your course load. Cheers.
