I'm on the Ottawa good waitlist (I think...just a waitlist letter with no other comments), and I haven't recieved a call yet. I know that the Mac list has been moving slowly over the last couple of days...does anyone know if the Ottawa list is still going? I have a job offer for september that I can't hold off for too much longer. I know other people have found out in the past, just not from Ottawa. I know that this poses problems for those of you who are faced with alternate plans that have to be made soon... but that's just how it is here. The best thing to do is to plan as if you are *not* getting accepted and then adjust your plans accordingly if and when you do receive the call. Guest Nikhila Posted July 4, 2004 Report Share Posted July 4, 2004 hilow, I'm feeling a bit blue... Was really hoping to get into U of O so as to save myself over $15000 a year. I got into U of T and am ecstatic about it, but I just wrote down an estimate of how much I will spend for my medical education and lifestyle (i.e. tuition plus living expenses) and my stomach dropped. There is nothing more worth it in the world to me and I'm happy to spend the money but I was just wondering: does anyone know if U of O is moving to their bad waitlist? I figure even if they have time has run out for me because my provisional acceptance became firm on July 2. Nicole said 2 spots opened up today...so I guess spots slowly become available as people reconsider their offer. Looks like another Western kid is going to Ottawa. Guest Kirsteen Posted July 8, 2004 Report Share Posted July 8, 2004 Hi there, I'm not sure if it will make a big difference as I'm on the not-so-hot waitlist, but just in case, today I notified Ottawa that I should be removed from the waitlist. Hopefully, if the waitlist goes that far, it will bring the good news a little more quickly to someone. Also, for anyone else who has accepted another medical school's offer and made up their minds to go to that school, just a wee reminder to let Ottawa know. I read or heard from them at some point (I can't recall where) that they appreciate us to inform them when we make these types of decisions, so they can keep things moving.
