Guest moo
You can definitely apply to do residency in the US. It's definitely possible, especially coming from a US school, to land a competitive residency in a good location. It might be harder than a US grad/US citizen, but if you go to a US school, do decently well (all Passes) you should be able to get a spot somewhere in the primary care fields (FP, Medicine, Peds, Ob). Guest rads
You will need a VISA to work in the US. Most Canadian citizens will get a J1, meaning that after residency you will be forced to go back to Canada (even if you do residency in the US). H1 is the Visa you need, but that is extremely difficult to get and hospitals are reluctant to sponsor these.
