Guest aneliz Posted May 1, 2006 Report Share Posted May 1, 2006 It is possible... it is fairly common. How it will be used by the medical schools depends entirely on the medical school in question. I suggest that your friend investigate carefully with each school that they are interested in to see how it will be used and what special 'rules' there are (if any) to make the victory lap year count. As an example, UWO specifically allows one 'victory lap year'... but there are a bunch of conditions that must be met in order for them to count the victory lap towards your GPA.
